The Shetland Boat: South Mainland and Fair Isle

Originally published in 1983 by the National Maritime Museum, this monograph illustrates aspects of the technical and usage history of boats in Shetland. It considers the environmental and economic pressures which shaped the development of Shetland boats, while presenting examples of particular models, and how they were constructed.
